We put a moth trap out in Rosemary Lane wood the night of 29thth September 2025 and got our best collection yet. The star was this Merveille du Jour (Griposia aprilina) which is beautfully camouflaged amongst lichen. We also caught Barred Sallow (Tiliacea aurago), Brindled Green (Dryobotodes eremita), Maiden’s Blush (Cyclophora punctaria), Large Yellow Underwing (Noctua pronuba), Oak Lutestring (Cymatophorina diluta), Lunar Underwing (Agrochola lunosa), Autumnal Rustic (Paradiarsia glareosa), Northern Deep-brown Dart (Aporophyla lueneburgensis). These can all be seen together with some we were less sure of on iNaturalist
